12 Teams arbeiten 2 Tage an ihrer grünen Business-Idee und clean tech Rockstar Ron Bloemers von Climate-KIC hilft ihnen dabei.

Beim Österreichfinale im Impact Hub im Juni räumten Hempstatic, Sud&Satz und Vienna Textile Lab ab und ergatterten die Chance, beim globalen Finale teilzunehmen.

Das globale Finale des Climate Launchpad 2017

Mehr als 100 Startups und Startups-in-spe kamen nach Limassol, Zypern, um beim globalen Finale des weltweit größten Wettbewerbs für grüne Geschäftsideen teilzunehmen.

Neben ganz Europa nahmen Teams aus Indien, Australien, Aserbaidschan und Kenia teil und trugen somit zu einem internationalen, multikulturellen Event bei, das weiterhin wächst. 

Das [sic!] – students’ innovation centre hat die österreichischen Vorauswahlen organisiert und dabei 12 Start-up-Teams einige Wochen lang begleitet und unterstützt.

Beim globalen Finale hat Vienna Textile Lab nicht nur den 3. Platz belegt, sondern wurde von den mehr als 500 Gästen im Publikum zum beliebtesten Finalist gewählt. Der Preis beinhaltet Cash und die Aufnahme zum Climate-KIC Accelerator. Hempstatic und Sud&Satz wurden in the Theme Awards “Urban Transitions” nominiert.

What an evening full of outstanding pitches and inspiring speeches at the Austrian National Final – ClimateLaunchpad 2017 at Impact Hub Vienna!

The students’ innovation centre organised the Austrian pre-selections, training and supporting 12 start-up teams during several weeks.

The Winners of the Austrian Climate Launchpad 2017

“Hempstatic”, “Sud&Satz” and “Vienna Textile Lab” made it to the winners’ podium and got the ticket to participate at the Global Final. “Vienna Textile Lab” didn’t not only end up 3rd at the Global Final but was also most popular among the 500 guests in the audience, receiving the audience award. Besides the cash prize they get access to the Climate-KIC Accelerator. “Hepostatic“ and „Sud&Satz“ were nominated to the Theme Awards “Urban Transitions”.

3rd place at global final of ClimateLaunchpad goes to Austria’s “Vienna Textille Lab. More than 100 startups and startups-to-be gathered in Limassol, Cyprus, to participate at the Global Final of the largest green business idea competition worldwide. Besides entire Europe, this year’s 4th edition included teams from India, Australia, Azerbaijan and Kenya, making it a truly international competition, that continues to grow.
